Award winning NTV Journalist, Edward Muhumuza, has died in a road accident on Entebbe Expressway, Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) publicist, Allan Ssempebwa, confirmed the incident which occurred on Saturday morning.
“Our rescue team on Entebbe Expressway confirmed a fatal crash this morning towards the Mpala exit section,” Ssempebwa told.
when contacted for comment. “The occupant is believed to be Edward Muhumuza, an anchor with the NTV given the records of identity found on him,” he added.
Traffic officers from Entebbe led by Vincent Kyasiimire were called to the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
“The Police has taken over the scene to establish further details relating to the crash and will possibly release a statement,” said Ssempebwa, Road accidents have been on the rise on Entebbe Expressway in recent months.
