In a recent interview with Millard Ayo TV, Zari Hassan addressed speculations linking a video of her and Diamond Platnumz holding hands to turbulence in her marriage with Shakib Cham Lutaaya, firmly denying any such connection.
Zari emphasized that the video was simply a promotional effort for Diamond’s new song ‘Mapoz,’ shot in Johannesburg, South Africa, on February 18, 2024, during the filming of the reality series Young, Famous & African (YFA).
During the interview, the Ugandan socialite revealed that Zuchu and several others were present at the shoot, clarifying the context in which the hand-holding occurred.
“On the day we were shooting for YFA in Johannesburg, Baba T [Diamond] told me, ‘Mama T, I feel like my video isn’t doing well. Let’s shoot a video, help me promote it, and I’ll post it with the song,'”
Zari explained. “Right there, Zuchu was also present, standing with the children – Nillan and Latifah. My sister Zahara was there, and my brother-in-law came with someone to exchange money. The whole family was there.”
Zari, 43, expressed regret that she hadn’t informed her husband Shakib about the video shoot beforehand.
