Events promoter Abbey Musinguzi alias Abitex Promotions has terminated her working contract with singer Serena Bata over breach of contract. In February 2020, Abitex and Serena Bata put pen to paper after the latter parted ways with her ex-manager and lover Charles Olim alias Sipapa of Sipapa Entertainment.
Since then, despite a few difficulties she encountered while working under Abitex’s stringent administration, the singer’s music career has been steadily thriving. In September 2021, Abitex slapped Serena Bata with a three weeks suspension, in light of the singer appealing for a collaboration during a TV interview.
Serena Bata received multiple warnings from Abitex to change her conduct, but it seems the singer turned a deaf ear to the promoter’s remarks.
Yesterday, Abitex learned about Serena Bata’s performance at an unbooked show and smoking shisha in public contrary to their employment contract.
Through his Facebook account, Abitex immediately revealed that Serena had been fired from his music camp, justifying that his label values its customers first, discipline, and cultural morals.
Despite firing Serena with immediate effect, Abitex maintained that the singer will have to perform at shows that were pending prior to her contract termination.
